2004-2005 Ford F-150, 2006 Lincoln Mark LT (Built Before 8/2005) Class IV Round Tube Trailer Hitch Receiver

Class IV hitches are very similar to Class III hitches except for the weight ratings.

Class IV hitches are Weight Carrying (WC) and Weight Distributing (WD) hitches depending on the vehicle and hitch specifications. Not all Class IV hitches are rated to be both. hitches are rated to do both. Please see the Specifications tab above for the weight carrying and weight distributing ratings (if applicable) for this hitch.

Class IV hitches used as Weight Carrying are rated up to 10,000 lbs. Gross Trailer Weight (WCGTW) with a maximum trailer Tongue Weight (WCTW) of 1,000 lbs. Hitches that are used for weight distributing are rated up to 14,000 lbs. Weight Distributing Gross Trailer Weight (WDGTW) with a maximum trailer Weight Distributing Tongue Weight (WDTW) of 1,400 lbs.

This style of hitch typically uses a 2" square receiver opening. The use of a ball mount and hitch ball of the same rating or higher is required for weight carrying. To use the weight distribution side of the hitch a weight distribution system is required.

Class IV hitches attach to the vehicle frame only.

• Please Note: This hitch will not fit 2004-05 F-150 flareside / stepside models with vibration dampener on the left frame rail. Dampener must be removed to install hitch.
• Cannot be installed on models originally equipped with OEM hitch.
