    Well, almost a good product

Nice looking unit, with a good concept. Received in good condition, despite being shipped in a very sturdy cardboard box. Installation was easy enough, with the help of a friend, and a tractor loader with pallet forks to lift it into position. I have not used this yet, so I will amend later. There are a couple of glaring issues with the design and build: the cable that operates the latch is way too short. A six footer cannot reach the handle when connected in an 8 foot pickup. The new air valve is extremely difficult to reach when the unit is hitched to the ball, which is the time when you need access. There is a cap on the inlet to the nipple on the valve that must be removed, which is not mentioned in the instructions. A standard air chuck that fits all of my 50 or so tires on the farm, including my car and truck does not fit the nipple on the air valve. What is supposed to fit? Is mine defective? Recommendation: install an extender on the nipple to reach a convenient place, with a standard Schrader valve nipple.
The height "gage" is a joke. If you could see it from (above) the side of the truck, it might be useful.
User instructions are a bit lacking, or something is amiss.
